Frewen College Celebrates Outstanding GCSE Results in 2026

Frewen College is proud to celebrate another successful GCSE Results Day, with students achieving strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects and demonstrating the benefits of hard work, determination and personalised support.
This year's GCSE results highlight the achievements of students across the curriculum, with particularly impressive performances in several key subject areas. Among the standout results, 100% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in both Music and Information Technology (IT), while 88% achieved Grade 4 or above in Art and 66% achieved Grade 4 or above in History
Students also made significant progress in Mathematics, with 45% achieving Grade 4 or above, reflecting the commitment shown by both students and staff throughout the academic year.
Alongside these strong overall results, several students achieved outcomes that reflect their hard work and determination throughout their GCSE studies.

James achieved an impressive 8 GCSEs at Grade 5 and above, including English and Mathematics, exceeding his CAT predicted grades by two grades.
Ed achieved 6 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including English and Mathematics, performing one grade above his CAT predictions.
Sean achieved results that were above his CAT predicted grades, demonstrating excellent progress and commitment.
Jake and Henry both performed exceptionally well, each achieving 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including Mathematics.
At Frewen College, every student follows the national curriculum and studies a broad range of subjects designed to prepare them for future education and career pathways.
All Frewen College students undertake a minimum of seven GCSE qualifications, ensuring they have access to a balanced and comprehensive education. These results demonstrate not only academic achievement but also the resilience, perseverance and confidence developed throughout their studies.
As we celebrate these achievements, we are delighted that many students have chosen to continue their studies at Frewen College Sixth Form.
The school looks forward to welcoming returning students in September as they embark on the next stage of their academic and personal development. We also extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to those progressing to other Sixth Forms and colleges as they pursue their future ambitions.
What a fantastic day of celebration! We are incredibly proud of our students and their GCSE results. Their hard work, dedication and commitment have truly paid off. Congratulations to each and every one of them on their well-deserved success.
